libdbi-dev software package provides DB Independent Abstraction Layer for C -- development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdbi-dev
libdbi-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdbi-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdbi-dev *
You will get with libdbi-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
